The Experience Builders team has designed simulations to teach skills
in sales, customer service, management, negotiation, as well as more
technical topics in product knowledge and business acumen. Below are
a few simulators you can try out that are representative
of a few of the products we make. PLEASE CALL FOR A DEMONSTRATION OF OTHER TYPES OF
SIMULATIONS AND SAMPLES OF SIMULATION-BASED COURSE DESIGNS.
All simulation-based courses are designed and produced by EB using
the Experience BuilderTM authoring
tool. This tool scaffolds the design of high impact scenarios and manages
the content for easy authoring. You can collaborate with EB and efficiently
contribute directly to your simulations by authoring, editing and reviewing
content on the web. Take a quick tour of the tool.

Here is a basic course layout, anchored by a
low bandwidth simulator with audio. You are a sales person charged with getting commitments
from a potential client. In this sample, you get some presentations
of instructional material before interacting with a character. If you apply
the methodology, you can go on to get additional meetings with the other
constituents you'll need to convince in order to get the mandate.
As with many EB simulations, there are different ways to apply
the methodology and different challenges presented by multiple
characters.
Note that the methodologies incorporated in all EB courses can be replaced by your
methodologies if you teach different techniques. The Experience BuilderTM
authoring tool allows authors to change the content, teaching points and tutoring quickly. By
reusing the content and scene structure, EB can quickly rewrite this course to
teach your methods and easily add scenarios that reflect your specific
customer interactions. |

This coaching simulator
is published in two different interfaces. Both contain the same
content but are presented with a different look and feel. These
seemingly different simulations illustrate one of the many benefits
of the Experience BuilderTM
simulation authoring tool. Since our simulations are not page-built,
you can update content or change the interface easily and quickly.
Try the Flash Video
version, then take a look at the HTML
version to see the difference. The Flash interface provides
an engaging user experience with dynamic video clips, while the HTML version engages the
user with simple, highly secure technology. Note: The Flash
interface requires the Flash Player (version 7) plugin. You may
be redirected to the Macromedia site if your browser does not
have the required plugin. Also, it has full motion character video, but it
will work even if your computer is not equipped with a sound card.

| Assessment Scenarios |
|
|
|
Simulations are an
invaluable way to measure someone's skills in real-world
conditions. Instead of measuring memory, simulation-based
assessments measure the decisions an individual makes when
confronted with situations they might see on the job. Unlike practice
scenarios, assessment scenarios capture the same performance
information do not give the user performance feedback
or tutoring.
Here is a sample
from a set of assessment scenarios Experience Builders developed
for a commercial off-the-shelf sales training system in the call center
market. Users work through simulated sales calls, and the
system tracks their performance. This information is then
used to craft a tailored learning experience for the user, for
example, adding practice in skill areas in which the user
was weak.
Note that this demo requires Windows Media Player. |

tool |

The Experience Builder TM
represents many years of expertise in simulation design and development.
EB took the lessons learned in the development of hundreds of
scenarios and put them into a tool that makes it faster and easier
to create and edit robust simulations. The tool is hosted by EB
on the web, so teams can collaborate -- authors can write scenarios
while managers review courses and subject matter experts edit
or comment on content in real time, overnight or at key milestones.
Get your simulation content under control and let your team participate
directly with the Experience BuilderTM.
If you would like a complete demonstration of the tool, please click the CHAT button at the top of the page.
